Humanities Engage is committed to supporting all doctoral humanities students as they pursue flexible pathways toward timely completion of degrees and all doctoral humanities departments as they think through new ways in which the dissertation can further the professional development of students. The dissertation is an important capstone for doctoral students, as it provides an opportunity to develop and display a wide variety of strategic competencies, including project management, research, and communication skills. These skills will be important to propelling students to success in a wide variety of career sectors.
